Welcome to Kiwanis Club of Coldwater! We are all passionate about making our community and the world a better place for children so they can thrive. We are devoted to serving the children in our local community and youngsters all across the country and worldwide through unique and innovative service projects and fundraising initiatives.
The Coldwater KiwanisClub received its charter in May 1969 and was organized by the Lima Club. The club began with 30 charter members and two of those remain today. Our club has maintained a membership of approximately 65 in recent years. The Kiwanis Club of Coldwater is in Division 2 of the Ohio District. Over the years our club has received numerous Distinguished Club Awards from Kiwanis International.
Kiwanis International was founded in Detroit, Mich., on Jan. 21, 1915. Kiwanis is a worldwide service organization of over 8,400 clubs located in over 96 nations and geographic areas. More than 600,000 men, women, and youth around the world proudly wear the Kiwanis “K.”

Joe McClurg, owner of Rooster Joe’s was guest speaker at the Coldwater Kiwanis meeting on January 3, 2023. Rooster Joe’s opened in January of 2020 with much support from the community. Joe is a firm believer in supporting local businesses as the products and services he uses to operate Rooster Joe’s utilizes services and products from 25 local businesses. In turn, Joe has three local businesses selling their products inside Rooster Joe’s. He has been amazed at the number of businesses and individuals who use his coffee shop to do their business by using the dining area of Rooster Joe’s. One of Rooster Joe’s goals is to open an outdoor patio. Rooster Joe’s is open M-F 5:45 am to 4:00 pm and Saturdays 7:30 am to 2:00 pm. Joe is extremely grateful to the support this community has offered his business and hopes to keep Rooster Joe’s a great place for people to gather and enjoy for many years to come. ... Also, if anyone wants their card walk sign or child's ornament, it needs to be taken by Thursday morning.
